Meet Elaine

I'm glad our paths have crossed

I'm a woman who loves myself deeply, loves sharing my light, and loves to have fun! I'm also a wife, a mother of three daughters, a dog groomer, an animal communicator, a birth doula, a foot zoner, a musician, a gardener - and so much more!

I'm a lover of baby cows, dance parties and the tops of trees against the sky. I find meaning in everything - a rainbow caught in a pivotal moment, or a dream that mirrors reality.

Underneath all of it, my work is one thing: helping people and animals come home to themselves. However you found your way here, I believe it wasn't a coincidence. It never is.

Everything I do is about igniting the light inside of others,
so they can carry it forward into a world that needs it.

MY STORY

How I Got Here

Chapter one

The Restless Season

A few years ago, my life looked nothing like it does now. I was working a 9-to-5 at a software company, good at my job and quietly restless in it. I had just had my third baby. My schedule didn't fit my family, and my spirit was asking for something I didn't have words for yet.

My body found the words first. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune condition where the body attacks itself. I understand now what it was telling me: you are not living as yourself.

Around that same time, our family puppy needed grooming, and I became the client who stayed and chatted through every appointment. When my groomer moved away, she told me I'd be good at this work. I laughed. A month later, I called her back. I opened Gentle Paws Grooming in my one-car garage, and the dogs who challenged me most became my greatest teachers.

Chapter Two

When I Started Listening

Animal communication found me the same way grooming did: through a pull I almost talked myself out of. I came across a video from a woman sharing stories from her animal communication sessions, and something in it felt real. So I attended a free webinar, half-listening while I blow-dried a dog, certain nothing would come through for me.

During a meditation connecting us to a cow, I felt her unmistakable mothering energy, and then saw a clear image of a cow pushing a large blue ball with her nose. Both were validated in the chat. I hadn't even known cows played with toys.

I could not unknow what I had just experienced. I weighed the decision to study this work seriously, and the confirmation that came through was clearer than I expected: this was a deep part of my life's journey. I enrolled. That was the beginning of everything.

Chapter Three

Coming Home to Myself

What followed was three years of the deepest work of my life. Animal communication training, energy work, chakra clearing, emotion release, breathwork. I learned to merge the parts of myself that had split off from years of performing for others and dimming what I knew.

One day I went to a follow-up doctor appointment expecting my thyroid antibodies to be out of control because I hadn't followed my strict diet perfectly. Instead, my doctor looked at my bloodwork, confused. Every antibody signaling Hashimoto's was negative. She didn't understand it. I did.

I had stopped attacking myself.

Living authentically has helped me learn to listen to my inner knowing, which in turn has given me the courage to follow my passions. Animals were the gateway to believing in the unseen and giving myself space to turn inward.

Turning inward led to an expansion of my intuition and helped my body recognize other passions, like energy work and doula care. I'm not becoming someone new. I'm becoming the person I've always been. I'm simply no longer hiding her.

Chapter Four

THE LESSON THAT NEVER ENDS

Every day of this work still changes me. No two sessions look the same, different animals, different families, different griefs and joys, but underneath all of it, the lesson is always the same: love. Love that shows up as a mother’s fear for her baby.
Love that shows up as a dog’s quiet trust, finally earned. Love that shows up in a message from an animal who has already crossed over, still watching, still caring.
Every person I work with teaches me something new about love. So does every animal. I don’t think I’ll ever be done learning it and I don’t want to be. I’m endlessly grateful for everyone who has trusted me with this work so far. It doesn’t feel like a job I chose. It feels like a calling that chose me.

Your light is yours to find, but I know the path, because I’ve walked it myself.

The Work Behind the work

I Took the Becoming Seriously

Every chapter you just read came with study attached. Gifts are real, and so is training, and I have never believed I had to choose between them. The people and animals who trust me deserve someone who honors this work enough to keep learning it, so I sought out teachers I deeply respect, and I'm still seeking them. This is what I carry with me into every session, every birth, and every groom.

For the birth space
Certified birth doula through Songbird Maternity, the organization of Melissa Chappell, midwife of more than 25 years. Trained in postpartum doula support under her as well. Mother of three, with births of my own across hospital and birth center settings.
